There may be some disruption to traffic in parts of Central London around the time of the conference, so check the TfL website to see if any public transport services are affected at that time.

Winter weather

Some other parts of the country have experienced adverse weather conditions like heavy rain, which has resulted in floods in some areas. The Met Office has advised that #StormGertrude is currently making its way across parts of the UK today.  Fortunately, the London area has not been seriously affected.  There is a Met Office Yellow (Be Aware) Warning of Rain in place for the counties immediately south of London like Kent and Surrey.

As we are still in the winter season, it’s worth checking how to prepare for poor weather conditions.  The Met Office advice is to check your  local weather forecast check your local weather forecast, keep up to date with the latest warnings and get information from a Met Office mobile apps if you are out and about to always stay up to date.  For more hints on staying safe at this time of year, visit Get Ready For Winter.
