Air Quality and Hydrogen Exhibition

City Hall, The Queen's Walk, London, SE1 2AA, United Kingdom

Air quality is closely linked to the liveability and economic status of a city.

As a consequence, this affects global city competitiveness and is a decisive factor for individuals and businesses on where they base themselves. Furthermore, there is a responsibility on cities to create solutions to combat climate change.

In London, air pollution is linked to over 9,000 deaths a year due to illnesses caused by long-term exposure to air pollution and 438 schools in London are in areas exceeding legal air quality levels.

The Mayor of London, Sadiq Khan, is proposing to bring forward and extend the Ultra-Low Emission Zone as early as 2019. The Mayor’s immediate plans include a £10 charge for the most polluting diesel cars in central London from October 2017, known as the “Toxicity Charge”.

This exhibition will showcase the global success of the Mayor’s Hydrogen Programme partners. We hope this will give you an exciting introduction into how hydrogen and fuel cells have helped to reduce pollutant and carbon emissions in transport and building infrastructure.
