Open House Families
City Hall will be open to the public as part of Open House London 2018. Explore the home of London government and find out more about what we do here. Our Education & Youth team will be on hand running workshops and activities for families and offering information about our new 'Career trails' which offer a guide to working in London.
Institute of Imagination Future Cities Workshop
Join the Institute of Imagination to explore what the future of cities might look like, design ideas and bring them to life. Using a variety of materials, create buildings of the future which can move, relocate, shift and adjust to the needs of the changing city. Create structures out of cardboard, foam board, sticks and more on 'walking legs', wheels or tractor tracks and try ideas out on a large projected map of London. Perfect for children aged 5-12 years old and their parents and carers.
Visit our guest artist, Penelope Mendonça, and tell her your hopes for the future. What do you want to do? Whether you want to be the next entrepreneur, inventor or teacher, the sky really is the limit, so think big! Pen will add your idea to a large real-time picture of the day.
