This area is on the edge of London. Harvil Road is accessible by TFL: tube to Uxbridge and a bus to the Dog's Trust. There are ancient forests just before the stop. These are being cut down for an access road for lorries taking loads to and from the proposed HS2 line.
HS2 have not tried to save these ancient trees. Each one a home to many small animals of all kinds.
HS2 say they will regenerate five fold the lost green space, but do the animals know that?! Can they wait?
HS2 are riding rough shod over too many ancient forests and ancient listed buildings.
We need the Mayor to play a more active role with regard to this atrocity.
Why do the labour party support HS2? It is after all for the Few Not the Many. (to contriparaphrase)
