Economy, skills & work

London’s economy is diverse, with businesses and employees from all around the world. To continue to thrive, the capital needs to stay appealing to businesses large and small and offer opportunities to a workforce with a mixed skillset.

London should be a city where everyone has access to education, training, and the homes and childcare they need to be able to work. Measures such as the London Living Wage and London Healthy Workplace Charter aim to help employers make their workplaces healthier and happier.

The Skills for Londoners Strategy was published in June and sets out the Mayor's vision to equip all Londoners and businesses with the skills they need to succeed in a thriving economy.

During London Tech Week, the Mayor presented Smarter London Together: a roadmap to make London the smartest city in the world.
