London is one of the greenest cities in the world. There are over 8 million trees, spread across numerous parks, gardens and streets. Despite its green look, the capital’s air quality is poor. This affects everyone who lives, works or visits London. Every year over 9,416 Londoners die because of air pollution, caused 50% by road transport.
The London Environment Strategy was published in May 2018 and sets out how to make London greener, cleaner and ready for the future.
