Traffic and pollution in London

Clean Air consultation

Over 15,000 Londoners took part in our consultation on plans to tackle air pollution. Through survey work and the discussions below, we gathered your views on a range of proposed measures to tackle the city’s air pollution problem.

Since then, following strong support, there's been further consultation by Transport for London (TfL) on the specifics of the Ultra Low Emission Zone.

A £10 ‘T-charge’ has also been introduced (from 23 October 2017), applying to the oldest most polluting cars driving into central London.

This has been one of the largest public consultations undertaken at City Hall, and here's where we'll keep you up to date on developments.
