A number of community-led networks have developed low-cost sensors that can enable citizens to measure air pollution levels in their area.
These sensors can be linked to a smartphone and would require citizens to follow some simple steps and then mark the location of their reading.
The data collected by these sensors could be beneficial because:
-It could enable the Greater London Authority prioritise action in the worst affected areas
-It could help to engage citizens in the fight for better environmental standards in London
