Gigs: Big Busk 2012

The Mayor’s annual busking programme Gigs was bigger than ever in 2012 with 500 talented young musical Londoners taking part in our supersized performing in some of the city’s most iconic spaces including train/tube stations, iconic landmarks (St Paul’s) and at the Olympic Park and Athlete’s Village.

A total of 750,000 people enjoyed more than 2,000 hours of live music, thanks to Gigs.

Grand final at Westfield London

The lucky overall winner, The James Riley Bluegrass Duo, nabbed a coveted Transport for London busking licence, following an exciting grand final at Westfield in Shepherd's Bush.
