Our public scrutiny meetings

MOPAC holds regular public meetings to hold the Metropolitan Police Service and criminal justice partners to account, and ensure everything possible is being done to meet the Mayor’s priorities and objectives and to keep Londoners safe.

The Mayor’s Office for Policing and Crime host the 'Policing Matters' and 'Justice Matters' meetings at regular intervals throughout the year, bringing in the Metropolitan Police Service, criminal justice agencies and other key partners to discuss the issues that matter to the safety of Londoners.

All Policing Matters and Justice Matters meetings are held at City Hall. They are open to the public to attend in person or can be viewed live.

Justice Matters Round Table: Tuesday 17th December 2019, 10:00 - 11:30am.  Whole System Approach to Tackling VAWG

This session is an opportunity to present what we know so far and highlight the key emerging thematic issues as identified by MOPAC’s review into creating a Whole System Approach to Tackling VAWG. At Justice Matters we will explore how partners might own actions to improve the issues with systems and process which currently inhibit victims from receiving a consistent level of support across London.

Overarching aims of the session are:

  1. To socialise MOPAC’s work to date
  2. To discuss the need for greater collaboration between organisations in both the statutory and non statutory sectors
  3. For attendees to share examples of best practice that could be replicated across London
  4. To help drive work forward through progressing collective ambitions in this space
