Our public scrutiny meetings

MOPAC holds regular public meetings to hold the Metropolitan Police Service and criminal justice partners to account, and ensure everything possible is being done to meet the Mayor’s priorities and objectives and to keep Londoners safe.

The Mayor’s Office for Policing and Crime host the 'Policing Matters' and 'Justice Matters' meetings at regular intervals throughout the year, bringing in the Metropolitan Police Service, criminal justice agencies and other key partners to discuss the issues that matter to the safety of Londoners.

All Policing Matters and Justice Matters meetings are held at City Hall. They are open to the public to attend in person or can be viewed live.

Justice Matters Round Table: Friday 11 October 2019, 11:30 - 13:00.  The Rape Review

At the meeting, partners including those from the Criminal Justice System, local Government and the voluntary sector, will discuss the Rape Review and Victims’ Commissioner recommendations.  The panel will seek to develop an action plan on how to address the systemic issues identified in this report such as delays and timeliness in rape cases; disclosure and the intrusive access to victim personal data; barriers to accessing information; and support for victims.
